DI VINCENZO POUJOULA is a French-Italian artist and designer duo formed by Claire Poujoula, French space designer, and Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo, Italian aeronautical engineer. Their unique and complementary backgrounds meet around a shared pursuit, at the crossroads of art, collectible design, and artisanal expertise.
Clay is their medium of choice and the starting point for a common language. Furniture, lighting, mirrors, sculptures, and wall works are designed, developed, and shaped in their Vallauris workshop. Each creation is a unique piece or produced in a very limited series.
Their collectible design approach does not stop at the creation of the object: it extends to its presentation, its spatial arrangement, and the dialogue created between the works. This approach finds its natural extension in their Gallery, conceived by the duo within the space that also houses their workshop.
An integral part of their artistic practice, the gallery is conceived as a space for research, curation, and the presentation of collectible design. Claire Poujoula and Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo create displays there, establish dialogues between pieces, and explore the relationships between artworks, furniture, and architecture.
Workshop and gallery thus constitute the two complementary dimensions of the same project: one is the place where works are conceived and crafted, the other where they are selected, brought together, and presented.

The fusion of talents: from sketch to one-of-a-kind piece
At the heart of the creative couple DI VINCENZO POUJOULA, two unique paths converge in a shared quest for expression, where their skills and common vision merge and intertwine to push the boundaries of their creativity ever further.
Claire Poujoula
Claire Poujoula, French and originally from Toulouse, grew up in a world where manufacturing and aesthetics are closely intertwined: a family of French shoemakers and a grandmother who was a painter. From a very early age, she developed a particular sensitivity to craftsmanship, materials, colors, and functionality.
After a preparatory art class at the Ateliers de Sèvres, she graduated in interior design from the École de Condé Paris and began her career in the capital. Her career path then led her to ceramics, which gradually became her medium of choice. Her intuition for combining colors, materials, and clays helps shape the duo's unique identity.
Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo
Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo, Italian, originally from Terni, grew up in an environment where creation and working with materials were ever-present. His father, who notably worked with copper and wood in an artistic approach, passed on this closeness to gesture and matter to him at a very early age. From childhood, Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo developed a passion for drawing, volumes, and the interplay of light and shadow.
A graduate in aeronautical engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome, he pursued an international career before fully dedicating his creativity and rigor to their artistic practice. His talent for drawing, sense of design, and technical approach now enrich the duo's work, from exploring forms to the technical development of their creations.
Their shared exploration of matter began in Toulouse in 2019. Self-taught, the two artists gradually developed their own techniques and a singular language, revisiting the craft of working with clay and combining it with other materials such as glass, metal, and wood.
In 2020, the duo set up their first workshop on the French Riviera, in Le Cannet, where the universe of takes shape DI VINCENZO POUJOULA and her first collections are developed.
In 2026, the duo moves into a new workshop in Vallauris, complemented by his gallery. A larger space, designed to bring together creation, manufacturing, and exhibition, and to support the development of the studio and new pieces.
Each piece begins with a freehand drawing, the starting point of a search where intuition, mastery of the material, and precision meet.
Sculptural furniture, totems, lighting, wall art, mirrors, and sculptures make up a universe of multiple forms and uses, always true to a single signature. Their work is expressed through the exploration of volumes, proportions, and contrasts, as well as the depth of the glazes and finishes they develop themselves. Clay holds a central place, while engaging in a dialogue with other materials such as glass, metal, and wood.
All expertise is developed and mastered in-house. From manual shaping to the development of glazes and finishes, right through to the technical and structural design of the pieces, every step is conceived within the studio. This mastery allows the duo to develop both sculptural creations and custom-made pieces that meet complex constraints of scale, structure, assembly, or installation.
Involved in every step of the process, from conception to execution, the two artists work alongside their team in their studio, where creativity, fine craftsmanship, and technical precision are closely intertwined.
The choice of stoneware, fired at a very high temperature, gives the pieces robustness, impermeability and frost resistance, allowing the creations to live both indoors and outdoors.
Glazes and finishes are entirely developed within the studio, the result of several years of research and experimentation. Overlays, reactions between materials, and firing variations give rise to the depths, shades, and drips characteristic of DI VINCENZO POUJOULA's work.
Glass also plays an important role in this research. Different types of glass are combined with the enamels and then fused with them under the effect of high temperatures. From this encounter arise effects of texture, transparency, depth, and light that become an integral part of the piece's surface. The reactions specific to each firing make these finishes impossible to reproduce identically.
Hand-applied and hand-painted, enamels and finishes thus reveal variations that fully contribute to the identity of each creation and make every piece unique.
The Gallery
Located in Vallauris, a town that was once a true crossroads for art and ceramics, the gallery is part of the history of a place where artists, art lovers, and collectors would gather to discover exceptional works and creations.
Located in the heart of their studio, the gallery is designed as an extension of their workshop and creative universe.
The pieces go directly from the workshop and kilns to the spaces where they are presented, creating an immediate link between their manufacture and their staging.
Spread across two levels, the gallery offers two complementary ways to discover their work.
On the ground floor, the creations take place in the heart of a former 19th-century pottery kiln, carefully preserved and restored. Presented on podiums in a deliberately minimalist environment, the works dialogue with the history of the site. This staging creates a link between the space's ceramic past and the contemporary creation that animates it today, like a rebirth of the material within the very place where it was once worked. Each piece can thus be appreciated in its singularity, as a work in its own right.
Upstairs, the approach is different. The rooms come to life within a true interior. Furniture, lighting, mirrors, and objects are integrated and contextualized within the gallery's living and workspace areas. Conceived as true immersive environments, these spaces allow visitors to experience the works in context and welcome collectors, architects, and art enthusiasts in a setting that is both lively and intimate.
The boundary between gallery, studio life, and creative space then blurs to showcase the works in both their artistic and functional dimensions. The entire interior architecture and scenography are conceived and created by Claire Poujoula and Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo, as a continuation of their artistic approach.
The gallery thus evolves to the rhythm of their creations. More than just an exhibition space, it is a living place, where one can discover the pieces just a few meters away from where they were conceived and created.
