Ceramic Artists
French-Italian

DI VINCENZO POUJOULA was born from the human and artistic encounter between a French interior designer Claire Poujoula and an Italian aerospace engineer Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo. Two creative minds who became self-taught ceramic artists, their eclectic backgrounds merged to give life to creations defined by sophisticated shapes and subtle nuances.

Clay (stoneware) is their medium of choice — a shared language through which they express their imagination and sensitivity, handcrafting each piece.

It was in Toulouse, in 2019, that their shared exploration of ceramic art began — a journey in two voices, at the crossroads of design, art, and contemporary craftsmanship.

Our story

The fusion of talents: from sketch to one-of-a-kind piece

At the heart of the creative couple DI VINCENZO POUJOULA, two unique paths converge in a shared quest for expression, where their skills and common vision merge and intertwine to push the boundaries of their creativity ever further.

The journey of artists Claire and Fausto

Claire Poujoula, French and originally from Toulouse, has been immersed since childhood in a world of craftsmanship and aesthetics: a family of French shoemakers, a grandmother who was a painter... From a very early age, she developed a keen sense of craftsmanship, functionality and beauty. After completing an art foundation year at the Ateliers de Sèvres, she earned a degree in interior architecture from the École de Condé Paris, beginning her career in Paris before naturally turning to ceramics, a medium of total expression. Her natural instinct for combining colors and clays gives their work a unique identity.

Fausto Gill Di Vincenzo, Italian, originally from Terni, has been fascinated by drawing, the purity of lines, geometric shapes, and chiaroscuro since childhood. His creativity later gravitated toward engineering—another form of expression, more concrete yet equally inspired. A graduate of La Sapienza University in Rome in aeronautical engineering, after a fascinating career that led him to work with a wide variety of cultures, he chose to redirect his inventive and rigorous mind toward ceramics. His talent for drawing, sense of design, and technical eye enrich their shared journey, bridging innovation with the poetry of form.

The studio and their craftsmanship

Since 2020, it has been primarily in their workshop in Le Cannet, on the French Riviera — not far from Vallauris, a land of ceramics and the cradle of great artists such as Picasso, Roger Capron, and Robert Picault — that the duo has been shaping a resolutely contemporary universe with four hands. Since 2026, Claire and Fausto have set up their workshop in Vallauris, thus directly reconnecting with the town's history and ceramic heritage.

Each piece begins with a freehand drawing, initiating a search that blends intuition, craftsmanship, and precision.

Sculptural furniture, totems, oversized lamps, wall murals, glazed ceramic-framed mirrors, vases, and decorative objects — their work is diverse, yet consistently marked by their signature style. Their artistry lies in the mastery of form and contrast, the alchemy of glazes with rich, deep hues and meticulously controlled drips.

Committed to every step of the process, Claire and Fausto combine craftsmanship and technical expertise, ancestral knowledge and modernity. The two work in synergy, from the exploration of form to the enamel finish, to find the perfect balance for their art.

Clays and glazes

Their choice to use stoneware fired at very high temperatures guarantees their pieces robustness, impermeability and resistance to frost - an approach that reflects their demand for quality and their commitment to sustainable creation.

It is by mastering the complex reactions resulting from the superposition of enamels that the unique effects of glazes and incredible drips are born.

Rooted in both French and Italian culture, their journey embodies a living dialogue between tradition and contemporary vision.
